Conveyor Systems and Material Handling
We (GMEC) have established a solid track record in maintaining coal conveyor systems for the energy sector. Notably, our maintenance work on mill cranes at Matla Power Station demonstrates our capability in ensuring asset reliability and uptime for critical plant equipment. In addition, GMEC has successfully designed, fabricated, and constructed hopper systems, shredders, and screw feeder assemblies for various process plant clients. Our asset fleet, including Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs), also enables us to support key mining logistics and contribute to strategic operational goals within the sector.

Engineering Systems Design
From its early establishment, GMEC made a strategic decision to invest in advanced engineering design and analysis tools, aligning with the demands of a market seeking innovative and creative design solutions. Key among these is the Siemens Solid Edge 3D software suite, which serves as our primary modelling platform in design and analysis activities. To complement this, we also utilize the MSC Mentat/Marc Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for solving complex engineering problems. The integration of these technologies, combined with our in-depth knowledge of industry design codes, forms the foundation of GMEC’s robust and reliable engineering design services.
Testing & Measurement
The evolution of sensor technologies—across visual, acoustic, and vibration domains—has unlocked significant opportunities for plant automation and the development of digital twins. These digital replicas enable predictive maintenance and automation by leveraging real-time data from sensor systems.
